Brain Refreshing Sleep Day

Sometimes people feel sleepy and became more sluggish work after lunch. Maybe you need a little nap. A recent study shows the possibility of a nap can make a person more intelligent and refreshing the brain.

The longer a person is awake, it will be increasingly difficult for the brain to store new information such as names, conversations or other records. Researchers found a nap can refresh short-term memory and provide a space for entering new information.

In this study, researchers analyzed 39 students to memorize a series of names and new faces during the day and matched a few minutes later. Group of students who obtained a nap produces better memory and increased memory test scores.

“This is part of the brain that store information and pandek term memory works better as an email inbox. Because when you sleep your brain will cleanse and refresh the brain’s capacity to receive new information,” said Matthew P. Walker, Head of Sleep and Neuroimaging Laboratory at the University of California, Berkeley, as quoted from the Health,

Walker also studied the harmful effects of sleep deprivation on learning ability, the ability to absorb new information will decrease. The results of this study was presented at the annual meeting of the American Association of the Advancement of Science’s in San Diego.

Another case with Dr. Neil Kline, a sleep physician who tells someone not to feel sleepy during the day if you get enough sleep at night.

“Ideally, adults do not need a nap, but try to have a regular sleep schedule in order to stay awake during the day,” he said.

“People who sleep 8 hours at night will not need a nap. But if you feel sleepy during the day, try to close my eyes for a moment but not for too long because this can disrupt your sleep later that night,” Walker said.

The results of this study provide new information mengani how to refresh the storage space in the brain that can contain new information. This is based on the results of brain wave monitor students who show better performance in the brains of people who have enough time to sleep.

If you do not want your lunch presentation apart because of lack of concentration or decreased performance, try to meet the needs of nighttime sleep well or spend a little time for a nap to be fresh brain.
